Constellations of Creativity in my All Red Studio
Once I've begun to know a machine, I like to practice more by creating a useful project. I almost always aim for gifts and plan to use just a couple of fresh machine or software areas combined with familiar skills. This transitions what's fresh into the familiar skill category for the next time. As gifts, there's added motivation to finish up quite nicely.
All year long I learn this way and stash the gifts, ready for giving. I find kids' items and sleep apparel a particularly safe and inviting place to practice new skills. Kids grow and who can see the less stellar sewing moments while sleeping anyway? :-)
The big bonus? Familiarity with fresh BERNINA capabilities together with polished skills delivers me to the land of creativity ahead~~~
