Welcome to the back room at Fiberella.com!

This space is entered by invitation only, so keep the secret of The Back Room, and the entrance, to yourselves. This is a place where we can privately dialogue long distance, with words and pictures, about our work as creative textile artists. This will be a great place to view works in progress, problem solve, and share ideas. Think of it as an online critique group!

Soon you will each have a place to post a virtual portfolio. To add photos, please reduce them to either 72DPI or not larger than 100DPI. (I size mine at 100DPI for the newer monitors coming out). Make all photos 6 inches in width and let the length work itself out to whatever it wants to be. THANKS for cooperating with this. Reducing DPI’s (dots-per-inch) will protect your work from being used as print media and also save much time in site loading and viewing for all of us. Email the photos to me here, and I will post them as soon as I am able. Be sure and tell me whether the photos you send are intended for the Visitor’s Gallery or for The Back Room.

In addition, there will be a bulletin board here for us to hold friendly, open discussions, online critiques and help sessions, offering insights and support to our fellow artists.

Where to exhibit? Keeping organized a post of current exhibit opportunities would helpful. I have trouble staying on top of all that info and would welcome updated suggestions for quality shows that might be of interest to any or all of us here. Email Paula the links and I will keep them updated as much as possible. Thanks.
